NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal had four individual champions and won the team title at the 2024 Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Neillsville High School.
NGL finished with 205 points to edge Eau Claire Regis/Altoona (201) and Cadott (199.5) for the team title. Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton placed seventh with 57 points.
Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton’s top finish came from Wyatt Karl, who finished second at 215 pounds. He lost the championship match to Axel Tegels of Cadott by pin in 5:42 and is now 15-8 this season.
Gavin Andrew took fourth at 120 pounds, Mason Dieringer (175) and Jakob Soback (190) each placed fifth, and Drew Lang (144) and Carson Kibbel (157) both took sixth for the Rockets.
Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton will compete at a WIAA Division 2 regional at Medford next Saturday, Feb. 10.
