STANLEY – The Spencer girls basketball team jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first half and defeated Stanley-Boyd 44-30 in the seventh-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers on Thursday at Stanley-Boyd High School.
The Rockets led 24-14 at halftime and were able to finish off the win, improving to 6-17 this season.
Autumn Davis had 23 points and nine rebounds, and Ema Schultz had seven points and 10 rebounds for Spencer.
Aaliyah Allard led Stanley-Boyd (3-21) with 11 points.
Spencer finishes its regular-season schedule Friday at Abbotsford. The Rockets will play their WIAA postseason opener Tuesday at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser in a Division 5 regional quarterfinal.
