Marshfield Columbus Catholic seniors Emmitt Konieczny, Charlie Moore and Blake Jakobi were named Co-Players of the Year and were three of the six first-team selections to the 2023-24 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Boys Basketball Team.
The trio of seniors from Columbus Catholic were joined on the six-player first team by Colby senior Joseph Streveler, Neillsville senior Bryce Erickson and Owen-Withee senior Quinn Hatlestad.
Konieczny led the Dons in scoring at 14.9 points per game with 69 3-pointers, Jakobi averaged 14.3 points per game with 77 3-pointers while shooting 90 percent at the free throw line, and Moore averaged 12.8 points per game with a team-high 95 3-pointers as Columbus Catholic won the Cloverbelt East championship and went on to win the WIAA Division 5 state tournament title.
Columbus senior Cy Becker and Spencer sophomore Sam Bezlyk were second-team selections, and Columbus Catholic senior Lucas Kreklau and sophomore Mac Konieczny were honorable mention choices.
Becker averaged 9.6 points and a team-best 4.4 rebounds per game for the Dons.
Bezlyk led Spencer in scoring at 18.2 points and rebounding at 12.3 boards per game.
