STEVENS POINT – The Stratford boys had 12 top-two finishes and rolled to the team title at the 2024 Marawood Conference Indoor Track Invitational on Monday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Stratford won four events and finished with 130 points, with Marathon a distant second with 95 points. Auburndale was 11th with 20.5 points.
Abbotsford won the girls team title with 82 points. Stratford was second with 62 and Auburndale 10th with 38.5.
For the Stratford boys, Jett Schoenherr won the 60-meter dash in 7.12 seconds, Payton Glenn was first in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 9½ inches, Garrett Zuelke won the 800 in 2:08.02 and the 3,200 relay team won in 8:47.22.
Brianna Sherden won the girls long jump (16-5) and the 800 relay team won in 1:55.11 for the Stratford girls. Sherden also took second in the 60 (8.20) and Kayla Casperson was second in the 3,200 in 12:31.61.
The Auburndale girls had two runner-up finishes as the 1,600 relay (4:30.74) and 3,200 relay (10:42.81) both placed second. Kennedy Crane added a third-place finish in the high jump (4-6).
