CHIPPEWA FALLS – Chippewa Falls scored in nine of its 10 at-bats, scoring three or more runs seven times, and cruised to a doubleheader sweep of Marshfield, winning 19-1 and 15-2 in nonconference softball action Saturday at Casper Park.
The Cardinals (6-0) pounded out 16 hits in Game 1 and another 13 in the second game on their way to the sweep.
Marshfield (3-4) was held to four hits in the opener, with Delaney Varsho delivering an RBI.
In Game 2, Shylah Brogan had a two-run single in the fifth inning for Marshfield’s only runs.
Marshfield will host Wausau West on Monday at 4 p.m. at Madison Field.
