NEILLSVILLE – Auburndale and Spencer competed at the nine-team Meurett Track & Field Invitational on Monday at Neillsville High School.
Bloomer won the girls team title, with Auburndale taking sixth and Spencer seventh. Stanley-Boyd was the boys team winner as Auburndale finished fourth and Spencer sixth.
The Auburndale girls won the 1,600 relay (4:24.52) and the 3,200 relay (10:48.44), Evelyn Schmitt placed second in the discus (85-3) and third in the shot put (29-0), Kennedy Crane added a third-place finish in the 800 meters in 2:38.76 and Gracie Hasenohrl placed third in the pole vault (7-6).
The Spencer girls had sixth-place finishes from Autumn Davis in the 100 (14.37) and Caitlin Clark in the long jump (14-4½).
Breckin Miller won the high jump (5-9) and the pole vault (12-0) for the Spencer boys. He also took second in the 110 hurdles (16.11).
The Auburndale boys won the 1,600 relay (3:51.45), and placed second in the 800 relay (1:38.46) and the 3,200 relay (9:30.62). Individually, Logan Nagel won the discus (126-11) and took second in the shot put (42-10), Keegan Empey placed second in the long jump (18-5¼), William Akins took third in the pole vault (9-0) and Trevor Trowbridge finished third in the 400 (58.61) for the Eagles.
