MARATHON – The Stratford softball team scored in every inning, pounded out 15 hits – six for extra bases – and rolled to a 15-5 win over Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division contest Tuesday at Marathon High School.
Tria Tubbs blasted two home runs and drove in four, Carly Pankratz went 4-for-5 with two triples, and Laney Pankratz had a single, two doubles and drove in three for Stratford, which improves to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the Marawood South.
Tubbs picked up the pitching win, striking out four in six innings for the Tigers.
Stratford will host Nekoosa for a nonconference game Friday at Hilgemann Field starting at 4:45 p.m.
