GREENWOOD – The Columbus Catholic softball team scored multiple runs in its final four at-bats and rolled past Loyal/Greenwood 13-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at Greenwood High School.
Sam Casperson, Mattea Schlafke and Kylee Lingford each had three hits, with Casperson scoring four times for the Dons, who are now 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East.
Ashley Weiler added two doubles and two RBI and Rhya Dieringer also drove in three runs in the win for Columbus Catholic.
Akosua Yeboah picked up the win for the Dons, striking out six while allowing just two hits in a six-inning complete game.
Columbus Catholic will host Neillsville on Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
