MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls soccer team scored five times after halftime and rolled past Chippewa Falls 6-1 in a nonconference match Saturday at Heiting Community Stadium.

Presley Franklin scored off an assist from Grace Taylor with 6:38 to go before halftime to break open the scoreless game and put Marshfield up 1-0.

The Tigers (4-7-2) then piled it on coming out of halftime as Abby Ongna netted a hat trick with three goals in a span of three minutes, two coming on assists from Hayden Berger.

Hadlee Hall and Shiloh Smith added goals for Marshfield before Chippewa Falls scored its only goal in the 65th minute. Keira Raab assisted on Hall’s score.

Marshfield will host Stevens Point for a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Tuesday at 7 p.m.
