ATHENS – The Auburndale softball team won its seventh-straight game, holding off Athens 11-9 in a nonconference matchup Friday at Athens High School.
Taylor Anderson went 4-for-4 and scored twice, Mya Krings added three hits and three runs scored, and Breleigh Grimm knocked in two runs for the Eagles, who improve to 15-3.
Sammy Stanton earned the win, allowing seven runs in five innings. Myah Katzenberger finished off the final two innings for Auburndale.
Auburndale will finish its regular-season schedule with nonconference road games at Tigerton on Tuesday and Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Thursday.
