EDGAR – Edgar scored twice in the sixth inning and defeated Spencer 2-1 in a tight nonconference baseball game Monday at Edgar High School.

Tyler Peterson was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to give Spencer a brief 1-0 lead before the Wildcats (9-7) responded in the top half of the sixth as Preston Dahlke had an RBI single and Brett Baumgartner scored on a groundout.

Spencer had two runners on with one out in the top of the seventh but couldn’t push across the tying run and falls to 6-11 this season.

Spencer is back in action Tuesday at home against Marathon.
