Auburndale baseball dominates Tigerton

TIGERTON – Auburndale rapped out 14 hits and walked 14 times in a 17-1 five-inning rout of Tigerton in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday at Tigerton High School.

Blake Raab allowed just three hits with no walks and struck out eight in a complete game for the Eagles (9-5). He also went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored.

Peyton Weinfurter added three hits and four runs scored, and Aden Cherney and Caden Weinfurter both drove in three runs for Auburndale.

Auburndale will pick up a suspended game with Athens at home at 4 p.m. Thursday, holding an 8-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning, and then play again following.
