COLBY – Marshfield Columbus Catholic junior Isaac Scheer won a pair of titles at the Cloverbelt Conference East Division Track Meet on Tuesday at Colby High School.
Scheer won the boys 1,600 meters in 4:36.43 and the 3,200 meters in 9:54.37 as the Dons placed third among the eight boys teams at the Cloverbelt East meet.
Loyal won the girls title with 152 points, 18 ahead of Neillsville, with Columbus Catholic taking sixth with 36.33 points and Spencer seventh with 32.33 points.
Neillsville was the boys team champion, earning 165 points, 12 in front of Owen-Withee. Columbus was third with 128 and Spencer placed sixth with 50 points.
Lucky Laessig added a win the discus with a toss of 122 feet, 2 inches, and Seth Roewe placed second in the pole vault (11-0) for Columbus Catholic.
Spencer’s Breckin Miller grabbed the only win for the Rockets, winning the pole vault with a vault of 12 feet. The Rockets’ 400 relay team placed second in 47.11 seconds.
Aubrey Waldhauser had Columbus Catholic’s best finish in the girls competition, placing third in the high jump (4-8).
The Spencer girls had two top-four finishes as the 800 relay team took third in 1:55.94 and Alicia Ostricki was fourth in the discus (80-7).
Spencer and Columbus Catholic will compete at a WIAA Division 3 regional at Marathon on Monday.
