Marshfield baseball ends eight-game losing streak with shutout win over Medford

MEDFORD – The Marshfield baseball team snapped a eight-game losing streak with a 1-0 shutout of Medford in a nonconference game Monday at Medford Area Senior High.

Bryce Schade and Owen Griesbach combined on a six-hit shutout for the Tigers, who improve to 4-17.

Schade struck out five over five innings to earn the win and Griesbach earned the save with two shutout frames.

Marshfield scored the only run of the game in the sixth inning. Jakob Sadowska led off with a walk, Chase Robinson followed with a single and Adam Gilbertson grounded out to score Sadowska.

Marshfield will play at D.C. Everest on Tuesday and will host the Evergreens as it wraps up its regular season.
