Marshfield Columbus Catholic, which rolled to an undefeated conference championship, reaped the rewards with 10 honorees on the 2024 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Softball Team, which was voted on by the seven conference coaches following the season.
Senior infielder Sam Casperson was named Cloverbelt East Player of the Year and was one of four Dons named to the 10-player first team.
Senior catcher Mattea Schlafke, junior pitcher/first baseman Akosua Yeboah and sophomore outfielder Shelby Spata were the other first-team selections for Columbus Catholic, which finished 12-0, rolling to the Cloverbelt East title, outscoring its opponents 177-14.
Sophomores Katelyn Casperson and Cienna Adler, and junior Kylee Lingford were second-team choices, and freshman Abby Wojcik, sophomore Rhya Dieringer and senior Maggie Callaghan were among the honorable mention picks for the Dons.
Spencer had two all-Cloverbelt East honorees as sophomore Ema Schultz was named to the second team and pitcher Berklie Ireland was an honorable mention selection.
