Marshfield Junior Legion earns tight win over Antigo

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team scored seven times in its final two at-bats to come from behind and defeat Antigo 11-10 on Monday at Jack Hackman Field.

Antigo scored five times in the top of the fifth to take a 7-4 lead before Marshfield fought back with four runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead.

The Junior Devils added three important insurance runs in the sixth, before holding off a seventh-inning rally from Antigo to earn the one-run win.

Easton Ledden had three hits and three RBI, and Tyler Kremer also had three hits and knocked in two to lead the Marshfield offense that finished with 14 hits overall.

Marshfield (2-2) returns to action Wednesday at Stevens Point. The game at Bukolt Park begins at 5 p.m. with the Senior game to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
