Stevens Point earns walk-off win over Marshfield Junior Legion baseball

STEVENS POINT – After Marshfield rallied to tie the game in the top of the seventh inning, Stevens Point earned a walk-off win, beating the Junior Devils 6-5 in a Junior American Legion baseball game Wednesday at Bukolt Park.

Carson Egner knocked in two runs with a two-out single in the top of the seventh inning for Marshfield to tie the game at 5-5, only to see Stevens Point win the game in the bottom of the frame as the go-ahead run scored on a wild pitch with two outs.

Easton Ledden and Tyler Kumm each had two hits in the loss for Marshfield (2-3).

Marshfield will play at the Don Friday Classic in Stevens Point this weekend with play beginning Friday as it takes on the Appleton DoubleDays at 12:30 p.m.
