Marshfield junior infielder Chase Robinson was among the 11 first-team selections to the 2024 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference Baseball Team, as voted on by the seven conference coaches following the season.
Robinson was one of three Marshfield players named to the all-conference team. Utility player Caleb Schaefer was a second-team pick and pitcher Owen Griesbach was an honorable mention choice as the Tigers finished 4-8 in conference play. All three are juniors.
Robinson hit .286 with 12 runs scored, a home run and five RBI in WVC play, while Schaefer topped Marshfield in batting at .387 with six RBI. Griesbach went 1-4 with a save in eight pitching appearances, finishing with a 2.95 earned run average and 31 strikeouts in 38 innings.
Undefeated champion Stevens Point had five first-team selections, including Player of the Year Noah Marschke, who was a first-team pick at pitcher and as a first baseman.
Marschke led the conference in batting at .558 (24-for-43) with 15 RBI, and also went 5-0 as a pitcher, giving up just three earned runs (0.64 ERA) in 33 innings with 54 strikeouts.
