Pittsville outlasts Stratford Legion baseball

STRATFORD – Four Stratford errors led to four unearned runs as it dropped a 5-1 decision to Pittsville in Legion baseball action Tuesday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

Drew Gage singled and eventually came around to score on a wild pitch in the fourth inning to tie the game at 1-1 for Stratford, only to see Pittsville scored four unearned runs in the fifth.

Stratford starting pitcher Brady Berg struck out eight in three innings, giving up one run.

Stratford hosts Edgar on Thursday at 5 p.m.
