MEDFORD – Mac Konieczny struck out 10 over 6 2/3 innings as the Marshfield Post 54 Senior Legion baseball team defeated Medford 9-5 in a non-league game Wednesday.

Konieczny walked six and allowed five runs in his outing, but the Marshfield offense did enough, scoring three runs in the first and four more in the sixth to open up a 9-3 lead. Medford scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to close the gap a bit.

Aden Cherney hit a solo home run, and Adam Gilbertson, Owen Griesbach and Nathan Richardson each scored two runs for the Blue Devils, who are now 4-8 this summer.

Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field.
