Marshfield Senior Legion downs Eau Claire in opener of Chippewa Falls Tournament

CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Senior American Legion baseball team opened play at the three-day Chippewa Falls Legion Tournament with an 8-5 win over Eau Claire on Friday at Casper Park.

Marshfield used a six-run fourth inning to break open a tie game and held on from there as Blake Raab locked down the save by getting the final five outs without allowing a run.

Chase Robinson had three hits, including a double, and scored twice, and Bryce Erickson also had a pair of hits and drove in two for the Blue Devils, who improve to 5-9 this season.

Marshfield will play De Pere at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
