CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Senior Legion baseball team dropped its second extra inning game in three days, falling to De Pere 7-6 at the Chippewa Falls Legion Tournament on Saturday at Casper Park.

Marshfield scored in each of its first five at-bats, tying the game at 6-6 with a two-run fifth. The score remained deadlocked until De Pere scored what proved to be the game-winner in the top of the eighth.

Aden Cherney had two hits and an RBI, and Owen Griesbach drove in two with a double to lead the Marshfield offense.

The Blue Devils (5-10) are 1-1 in the three-day tournament and will play River Falls at 2 p.m. and Chippewa Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
