Marshfield Junior Legion rolls past Holmen at Antigo Tournament

ANTIGO – Tyler Kumm and Easton Ledden each drove in a pair of runs to lead the Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team to a 9-1 win over Holmen in the second day of the Antigo Junior Legion Tournament on Saturday.

Holmen scored a run in the first inning before Marshfield (7-6) roared back, scoring four times in the second inning and added five more over its final three at-bats.

Ledden and Josh Taylor each had two hits for the Blue Devils, who had eight in all.

Tyler Kremer (two innings), Ben Sommers (3 innings) and Carson Egner (one inning) combined on a one-hitter for Marshfield, which is now 1-1 in the tournament.

Marshfield will play Fond du Lac at 11:30 a.m. and Antigo at 4:30 p.m. to complete competition at the three-day tournament.
