ANTIGO – Marshfield Post 54 finished the three-day Antigo Junior Legion Baseball Tournament with a 3-1 record after slugging past Fond du Lac 11-1 and Antigo 17-9 on Sunday.
Marshfield scored four times in the first inning of the opener against Fond du Lac and rolled to the five-inning win.
Bryce Schade and Mason Anderson combined on a three-hitter for the Blue Devils, who pounded out 11 hits.
Tyler Kumm had three hits and an RBI, and Easton Ledden had a pair of doubles and drove in two for Marshfield.
Against Antigo, Marshfield scored in six of its seven at-bats, including four each in the third and fourth innings, and five in the sixth.
Schade went 4-for-6 with a whopping six RBI, Ledden continued his hot hitting with three hits and four runs scored, and Anderson and Rocco Maher each had three hits as well for the Blue Devils (9-6).
Marshfield will play a doubleheader at Plover on Monday starting at 5:30 p.m.
