STRATFORD – The Stratford Legion baseball team swept a doubleheader over Medford on Tuesday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field, winning Game 1 in a walk-off 2-1 and taking the second game 3-2.

Jack Tubbs knocked home Alec Chapel with the game-winner in the bottom of the fifth inning to give Stratford the victory in the opener.

Brady Schmidt threw a complete game with five strikeouts.

Game 2 statistics were not available.

Stratford (8-4) will play a doubleheader at Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Thursday starting at 6 p.m.
