CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team fought back from a three-run deficit to defeat Wausau 7-5 on Sunday afternoon at Casper Park, capping off a 2-2 record at the three-day Chippewa Falls Junior Legion Tournament.
Marshfield trailed 5-2 after three innings before plating three runs in the fourth to tie the game.
Mason Anderson scored on a fielder’s choice grounder by Carson Egner in the fifth and Anderson had an RBI double to plate Easton Ledden in the sixth to provide Marshfield (13-11) with the winning runs.
Ben Sommers earned the pitching win, going 6 2/3 innings with three strikeouts. Tyler Kumm earned the save with a strikeout for the final out of the game.
Marshfield will wrap up its regular-season schedule at Merrill on Tuesday.
