Stratford Legion baseball holds off Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD – The Stratford Legion baseball team held off Abbotsford to pull out a 7-6 win on Tuesday at Red Arrow Park.

Stratford led 7-3 before Abbotsford scored three times in the fifth. Riley Kroenig pitched two scoreless innings to save the win for Brady Berg, who struck out six in 4 1/3 innings.

Riley Spindler and Jaeger Ormond each had two hits, with Spindler driving in two runs, and Brady Schmidt and Alec Chapel adding RBI for Stratford (9-5).

Stratford plays at doubleheader at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday staring at 5:30 p.m.
