WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids swept a Legion baseball doubleheader from Stratford on Thursday at Lincoln High School, winning 8-4 and 11-0 behind a no-hitter from Honeyager.
In Game 1, Stratford led 3-0 until Wisconsin Rapids scored seven times in the bottom of the third to take control.
Riley Spindler and Vance Kielman each had two hits for Stratford in the loss.
Honeyager struck out seven in the five-inning no-hitter in the second game for Wisconsin Rapids (17-8), which scored in each of its four at-bats.
Stratford (9-7) hosts Fall Creek on Monday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field in its regular-season finale. Game time is 6 p.m.
