ANTIGO – Chase Robinson knocked in five runs to pace the Marshfield Senior Legion baseball team in a 13-4 rout of Antigo on Thursday night.
Marshfield is now 13-18 this season and 3-9 in the Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference after snapping a four-game losing streak.
Marshfield took control early with a six-run second inning that included three hits, four walks and an error.
Robinson knocked in runs with singles in the third and fifth innings, and capped off his three-hit night with a three-run home run in the top of the seventh.
Blake Raab went the distance on the mound for Marshfield, striking out three without a walk. He also had two hits, drove in two runs and scored twice.
Marshfield will finish its home schedule with a doubleheader against Viroqua on Friday at Jack Hackman Field beginning at 5 p.m. The Blue Devils wrap up their regular season and WVLC schedule Monday at Wausau.
