Marshfield Post 54 catcher/first baseman Adam Gilbertson has been selected to play in the Wisconsin American Legion Baseball All-Star Game on Aug. 11 in Milwaukee.
A total of 48 players from the high school graduating class of 2024 were chosen will play at the state all-star game following the Milwaukee Brewers game against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday, Aug. 11 at American Family Field.
Gilbertson will play for the Stripes team in the game that will start at approximately 5 p.m.
Players from Central Wisconsin chosen to play for the Stars team include: Tanner Hraby of Medford, Dylan Dobratz of Wausau, Grant Warren of Marathon, Ian Salveson of Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Brylen Nystrom of Plover, Nate Langbehn of D.C. Everest, and Kaleb Ellis and Canon Plawman of Wisconsin Rapids.
Wausau’s Jack Barthels was chosen to play on the Stripes team.
Gilbertson is hitting .359 (24-for-67) this summer for Marshfield, with five doubles, a triple, 13 runs scored and 16 RBI in 28 games played.
