Marshfield girls golf places third at Seymour Thunder Invitational

SEYMOUR – The Marshfield girls golf team had two top-10 finishes and placed third among 14 teams at the Seymour Thunder Invitational on Wednesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Bay Port won the team title with a 351, 17 shots ahead of Hortonville. Marshfield was third with a 384, five strokes in front of Kaukauna.

Brielle Lenz fired an 86 to place fourth, six shots behind medalist Maci McNichols of Hortonville.

McKenzie Holm finished in a three-way tie for 10th place with a 92, Lexxi Oertel was right behind with a 93, Kylie Laufenberg had a 113 and Karsyn Miller shot a 129 to round out the Tigers’ scoring.

Marshfield will compete at the Wausau East/West Invitational on Thursday at Trapp River Golf Course.
