WESTON – The Marshfield girls golf team won its second-straight leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament, finishing with a 182 at Crane Meadows Golf Course.
The Tigers defeated Wisconsin Rapids by eight strokes to earn another conference meet title. Wausau East/West was third with a 200 and D.C. Everest took fourth with a 217.
Marshfield’s Lexxi Oertel won medalist honors with a 38, two shots better than Wausau East/West’s Talia Schlindwein.
McKenzie Holm tied for fourth with a 46, Brielle Lenz tied for seventh with a 48, Kylie Laufenberg finished in a tie for ninth with a 50, and Lauren Boon shot a 60 as well for Marshfield.
Marshfield will have a week off before hosting the third leg of the WVC Tournament on Friday, Sept. 6, at Marshfield Country Club.
