Marshfield girls tennis wins conference opener over D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team rolled to a 6-1 win over D.C. Everest in its opening Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet of the season Thursday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

Marshfield swept the three doubles matches, and won three of four singles matches, all in straight sets.

Lillian Griesbach earned a 6-0, 6-0, win at No. 1 singles, while Talia Soskos at No. 3 and Halle Rachu at No. 4 lost just one game each in their victories for the Tigers.

Marshfield will be back in action Tuesday at home against Wausau East.
