ALMOND – The Spencer volleyball team won two of three matches at the Almond-Bancroft Quad on Thursday night at Almond-Bancroft High School.
The Rockets defeated Manawa 13-25, 25-16, 15-10, lost to Adams Friendship 17-25, 25-19, 17-15, and finished up with a 25-14, 26-24, win over Almond-Bancroft in three tightly-contested matches.
Carmen Krause had 15 kills and five service aces, Ema Schultz added 12 kills, Hallie Meyer had 23 assists and 26 digs, and Alexa Stange also finished with 26 digs for Spencer in its three matches.
Spencer will be off until next Thursday, Sept. 12, when it hosts Edgar for a nonconference match.
