MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls golf team claimed another title in the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament series on its home course at Marshfield Country Club on Friday.

The Tigers had three of the top four scores and finished with a team score of 186, 10 shots better than runner-up Wisconsin Rapids, to win for the third time in as many conference meets this season.

Talia Schlindwein of Wausau East/West won individual honors with a 40, with Marshfield grabbing the next three spots as McKenzie Holm shot a 43, Brielle Lenz had a 45, and Lexxi Oertel tied Wisconsin Rapids’ Ava Fetterer with a 47.

Kylie Laufenberg added a 51 and Lauren Boon shot a 60 as well for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Colfax Invitational at Whitetail Golf Course on Wednesday. The fourth leg of the conference tournament will be Friday, Sept. 13, at the Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids.
