LA CROSSE – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team earned its third-straight win of the week as the Dons shut out La Crosse Aquinas 1-0 in a nonconference match Saturday at Field for Kids.
The Dons were outshot 18-2 overall and 8-2 on goal, but made one count as Mason Edwards scored at the 11:12 mark for the game’s only goal.
Carter Sommer made eight saves in goal for Columbus Catholic (5-1) to finish off the shutout.
The Dons will host Wausau Newman Catholic for a Central Wisconsin Conference match Monday at Griese Park at 5 p.m.
