THREE LAKES – Columbus Catholic scored twice in the opening 15 minutes and rolled to a 5-1 win over Three Lakes/Phelps in a nonconference soccer match Tuesday at Three Lakes High School.

Cade Jansen scored just 12 seconds into the game and Ezra Duda added another goal in the 15th minute to give the Dons a quick 2-0 lead.

Three Lakes/Phelps cut the Dons’ lead in half with a goal in the final minute of the first half, but that would be all it would get past Columbus Catholic goalkeeper Carter Sommer.

Xan Rodriguez, Jansen and Mason Edwards all tacked on goals for the Dons (7-1) in the second half to finish off their fifth-straight win.

Sommer finished with 12 saves in goal for Columbus Catholic.

The Dons return to Central Wisconsin Conference action Thursday with a match at Northland Lutheran beginning at 5 p.m.
