Marshfield girls tennis dominates in victory over Wausau East

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team improved to 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season with a 6-1 win over Wausau East on Tuesday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

Lillian Griesbach came from behind to win a three-set match over Abbey Olson at No. 1 singles for the Tigers.

Talia Soskos (No. 3 singles), Halle Rachu (No. 4 singles), Isabel Krueger and Lucy Luedtke (No. 1 doubles), Aubrey Layton and Audrey Luedtke (No. 2 singles) and Sophia Rosandich and Madeline Kloos (No. 3 singles) all won in straight sets for Marshfield.

Marshfield will travel to Chippewa Falls for a nonconference match on Thursday.
