MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team improved to 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 5-2 win over Stevens Point on Tuesday at the Boston Tennis Complex.

All three Marshfield doubles teams won in straight sets, and Talia Soskos (No. 3) and Halle Rachu (No. 4) won singles matches for the Tigers.

The Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Lucy Luedtke and Isabel Krueger won 6-4, 6-1; the No. 2 team of Audrey Luedtke and Aubrey Layton held on for a 6-4, 7-6 (2) victory; and Madeline Kloos and Sophia Rosandich earned a win at No. 3 doubles 6-4, 7-5.

Marshfield will travel to Wausau West for another WVC match Thursday at 4 p.m.
