ABBOTSFORD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team overcame a slow start and rallied to defeated Abbotsford 3-1 in a nonconference match Thursday night at Abbotsford High School.
The Dons lost the first set 25-23, before taking the next three 25-15, 25-19, 25-15.
Shelby Spata had 14 kills and 10 digs, Abby Kibbel added nine kills and Aubrey Waldhauser had eight kills for the Dons.
Alayna Egle and Sophie Wilczek each had 17 assists, and Delia Trader had 26 digs in the win for Columbus Catholic.
Columbus Catholic will play at the Diocesan Tournament at Chippewa Falls McDonell on Saturday.
