ROSHOLT – Auburndale quarterback Blake Raab threw four touchdown passes in the first half and the Eagles cruised to a 42-12 win over Rosholt in a Central Wisconsin Conference Small Division football game Friday night at Rosholt High School.
Colton Weiler started the scoring with a 23-yard touchdown run for the Eagles, only to see Rosholt’s Caleb Zick return the kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown to cut Auburndale’s lead to 7-6.
After that, it was all Auburndale.
The Eagles put up five unanswered touchdowns as Raab hit Tanner Wargowsky, Nathan Richardson, Peyton Weinfurter and Richardson again for passing touchdowns before halftime and Auburndale took a 35-6 lead into halftime.
Nathan Van Wyhe tacked on a 20-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for the Eagles (4-1, 2-1 CWC Small) to start a running clock with a 36-point lead.
Rosholt managed to score an inconsequential touchdown in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring.
Raab finished an efficient 11-for-14 for 143 yards and the four scores, while Weiler added 91 yards rushing as Auburndale outgained Rosholt by nearly 200 yards, 360-165.
