CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls swim team won a pair of events and placed fifth at the eight-team Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday.
Brooke Begotka won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.08 and Shiloh Smith earned the victory in the 100 freestyle in 59.53 seconds for the Tigers, who finished with 255 points. La Crosse Logan/Central won the team title with 470 points.
Terra Risa placed second behind Begotka in the 100 butterfly in 1:04.65) and third in the 200 individual medley in 2:24.90, and Begotka had a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.03.
Marshfield also had a pair of second-place relay finishes as the team of Hannah LaPointe, Begotka, Risa and Smith was the runner-up in the 200 medley relay in 2:03.29, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Smith, Keira Raab, Risa and Begotka was second in 1:47.69.
Marshfield will host La Crosse Logan/Central for a nonconference dual on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
