EDGAR – Columbus Catholic’s Nathan Scheer held off his brother Isaac Scheer to win the boys race at the Edgar Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Nathan Scheer finished in 17 minutes flat with Isaac a step behind at 17:00.4, to help the Dons to a second-place finish in the team standings behind Westfield.
Westfield also won the girls team title.
Columbus Catholic had just two girls runners competing, with Abigail Schlud taking fourth in 22:15.0 and Jenny Schneider finishing 17th in 25:53.1.
Columbus Catholic will compete at the Rosholt Invitational on Thursday.
