MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point won nine of the 11 races and defeated Marshfield 117-53 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swimming dual Tuesday at Marshfield High School, the final home meet of the season for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s lone wins came from senior Brooke Begotka, who won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.50 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.42.
Terra Risa added a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 individual medley (2:25.97) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.59), and Shiloh Smith was second in the 50 freestyle (27.13) as well for the Tigers (1-2 WVC). Stevens Point moves to 4-0 in conference duals.
Marshfield’s next meet is Oct. 10 at John Muir Middle School in Wausau against Wausau West.
