Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps Gilman, clinches at least a share of Cloverbelt East title

GILMAN – The Columbus Catholic volleyball team clinched no worse than a tie for the Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship with a 3-0 sweep of Gilman on Tuesday at Gilman High School.

The Dons won 25-18, 25-22, 25-18, improving to 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman is now 3-3.

Gracie Wilczek led the Dons with 11 kills and also contributed 15 digs, Delia Trader had a team-high 16 digs, and Alayna Egle finished with 24 assists and nine digs for the Dons.

Shelby Spata added 10 kills and eight digs, Abby Kibbel had nine kills, and Sophie Wilczek had 16 assists as well for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus hosts Loyal on Thursday to its final Cloverbelt East match of the season.
