WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield girls and boys cross country teams each finished seventh at its final tune-up for the postseason at the Jim Newman Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Lincoln High School.
Natalie Scharenbroch placed sixth in 19:35.9 and Adeline Lonsdale was 10th in 20:07.0 to give the Marshfield girls a pair of top-10 finishes.
Columbus Catholic senior Isaac Scheer finished sixth in 15:55.9 as the Dons placed 12th in the boys tean standings.
Owen Hoerneman led the Marshfield boys, taking 13th in 16:31.7.
Stevens Point’s Ethan Olds won the boys 5-kilometer race in 15:30.5 and Lucy Dolan of Wisconsin Rapids Assumption won the girls race in 18:19.4.
Stevens Point swept both team titles.
Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet next Saturday, Oct. 19, at Nine Mile Park in Rib Mountain.
Columbus Catholic will also be back in action on Oct. 19 at the Cloverbelt Conference Meet at Levis-Trow Mounds Park in Neillsville.
