Thorp upends Spencer volleyball in Cloverbelt Crossover

SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 3-1 loss to Thorp in a Cloverbelt Conference seventh-place crossover match Tuesday at Spencer High School.

Thorp won 25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Carmen Krause had 11 kills, Ema Schultz added 10 kills, Shelby Frisch finished with four of the Rockets’ 14 service aces, and Chloe Timm had 16 assists and 17 digs for Spencer.

Alexa Stange led the Rockets’ defense with 29 digs, and Lydia Lau added 10 assists and 11 digs.

The WIAA postseason brackets will be announced Wednesday and the playoffs begin with regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
