MARATHON – The Stratford volleyball team swept the first-place match of the Marawood Conference Crossover Challenge over Abbotsford 3-0 on Tuesday at Marathon High School.

The Tigers, winners of the Marawood South cruised 25-15, 25-15, 25-15, over the North Division champion Abbotsford, and are now 28-3 this season heading into a nonconference match to wrap up the regular season Thursday at Lakealnd.

Kalyn Schueller had 10 kills and 10 digs, Daisy Yoder added seven kills and a pair of blocks, Emerson Roy finished with 10 assists, and Carly Pankratz also had 10 digs for Stratford.

The WIAA postseason brackets will be announced on Wednesday with the playoffs beginning with regional quarterfinals scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22.
