MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic dominated defensively, holding Tri-County to just three shots on goal and cruised to a 4-0 win in a WIAA Division 4 boys soccer regional semifinal Thursday at Griese Park.

Cole Wallace scored in the 14th minutes, Ben Weiland added two goals on penalty kicks, and Xan Rodriguez topped off the victory with a goal in the 67th minute for the Dons. Mason Edwards assisted on the first and final goals in the win.

Carter Sommer saved all three shots he saw in goal for the Dons, who are now 17-3-1.

Columbus Catholic will host Stevens Point Pacelli/Iola-Scandinavia (11-9-1) on Saturday in a Division 4 regional final at Griese Park beginning at 1 p.m. Pacelli/I-S won 2-1 at Nekoosa on Thursday.
