Marshfield senior Brooks Hinson earned first-team honors on both offense and defense, and five others also were first-team picks on the 2024 Wisconsin Valley/Big Rivers East All-Conference Football Team.
Hinson finished with 33 catches for 529 yards and five touchdowns, and also had six interceptions and returned two for touchdowns for the Tigers, who finished 4-3 in conference play and 4-6 overall after losing in a Division 2 Level 1 playoff game to New Richmond.
Hinson, along with inside linebacker Ethan Richardson, outside linebacker Dawson Meissner and defensive end Simon Dagit, were all unanimous first-team picks for Marshfield.
Richardson led Marshfield in tackles with 98, and Meissner had 92 tackles and three interceptions.
Kicker Keegan Fredrick and offensive lineman Jon Klumb also earned first-team accolades for the Tigers.
Earning second-team honors for Marshfield were offensive lineman Ethan Knecht and running back Grayden Rode, and honorable mention choices for the Tigers were offensive lineman Bob Shearer, defensive lineman Austin Anderson and defensive back Jackson Anderson.
D.C. Everest running back Blake Bangtson was named Offensive Player of the Year, Wausau West defensive lineman Deondre Bournes was picked as Defensive Player of the Year, and D.C. Everest’s Braden Mitchell was chosen as Coach of the Year for the conference.
